Work ready!

Welcome to Sunday lovely readers.

In the past months a lot of you lovely ladies have reached out with questions on professional attire, asking for suggestions on where to shop. So I wanted to dedicate this week to sharing a great option with you all and a brand that is new to be reviewed on The Tall Society. This brand is Sumissura.

Now we all have had our share of struggles and professional attire is something I really had to grow into and search hard for, especially early on in my career. I remember in one of my first ‘serious’ jobs, getting feedback from my manager about my professional attire, namely my high-water pants. I was mortified because I had tried so hard to look presentable. With the years you learn what you can and can’t pull off, you learn to read your environment and establish that some can be more casual then others. You learn to adjust accordingly and now I am at a point where I have been able to build a wardrobe that contains the staples that every Tall Girl needs.

For your convenience I will be adding my favorites pieces of clothing HERE in the shop section of the site. You will be able to shop directly from here. Easy peasy right?!

Ok so lets go back to Sumissura, I first came across Sumissura on social media. I spent some time looking through what they offer, and the words ‘Made To Measure’, ‘Customize your clothes’ and ‘Highlight your own style’ grabbed my attention! You all know I love made-to-measure pieces, because they are arguably the best option for us tall ladies.
Founded in 2008, Sumissura is currently the E-Commerce leader in custom suits and shirts. Their platform essentially allows you to design close to anything within the realm of professional attire.

I had so much fun designing my own custom long sleeve shirt with a slim fit and a simple French cuff. The print that I chose is called ‘Larache’. I was going back and forth between their pant and skirt options but finally took the plunge and selected a flared custom skirt with a high waist. The color red I selected is called ‘Biella’.

Together these pieces make such a delightful professional but fun outfit. Appropriate across autumn, spring and summer in my opinion. Maybe even winter if you throw on some thick stockings!

Design your own made-to-measure clothes and become your very own fashion stylist! Go on!
I hope this was helpful for those of you that requested it, I encourage all you beautiful ladies to let me know what you would like us to review next when it comes to Tall Fashion. Shoot me an email at bree@thetallsociety.com anytime.
