This week I want to share a look with you from one of my favorite retailers that I am very excited about. During a designated online shopping day, I think we all have those. While dressed in my most fashionable onesie I was browsing around on tallgirls.co.uk and I came across this fabulous Leather Look Black Skirt!
I don’t own many leather or faux leather pieces, because I have always found it a bit tricky to style leather pieces. I think there is also this subconscious idea that leather would not be flattering on a curvier frame. Well my lovely readers, I was very wrong.
The Leather look skirt is a flared circle skirt with raw hem and a partly elasticated waist. So in the middle of the skirt in the back there is a ‘stretchy part’ that allows a little give. I think that is why I was able to swing a UK size 18 (US 14), whereas as you know I am normally I size 16. The skirt only goes up to a UK size 18 so I tried it, and it worked out well. Without cutting off circulation of any sort I might add.
And guess what? The skirt is now on sale for £25, so if interested this is definitely the time to snatch it up!
I paired this statement skirt with my soft jersey polo turtleneck also from TALLGIRLS, a great basic piece to combine with a variety of looks.
My current favorite out of my hat collection is the ARTIC wide brim Fedora from Goorin Bros that elevates any look in the most chic and tasteful way. Hats from Goorin are an investment well worth it. Buy a hatbox while your at it and store and protect these beauties properly to enjoy them for years to come!
Now these shoes you might have seen before, as they are my own custom design from Shoes of Prey. They have a 3’5 inch heel with a platform that makes walking around in them much more comfortable.
