The Tall Society Resolutions for 2017

2017 will be an amazing year, I can feel it. It will also be the year of change for me, as I am anticipating major changes on the work front and possibly a move on the personal front. I am excited!

With that in mind, I intend to embrace everything the universe has in store for me in 2017, however challenging it might be. I am strong, resilient, and I can handle it. Bring it on! I am also intending to take better care of Bree this year, and carve out more time for exercising and more pampering too! I have worked so hard in 2016 that I sometimes forgot to take care of myself properly.

The Tall Society has seen such amazing growth this year. I am so proud of what we have accomplished and am counting my blessings for my very own unicorn Tall Sisters: Katie, Christiana, Tyi, Molly, Kristin, Kellee, and Kara (you’ll meet Kara soon). Curious, I asked a few of our Tall Society contributors what their own resolutions are for 2017. Here’s what they had to say:

“My New Year’s resolution is to do one thing everyday that makes me happy. “ – Kristin

“My theme for the New Year is embracing freedom. Freedom in having my own business, freedom in self-love, and freedom to live life on my own terms. Cheers!” – Molly

“My 2017 New Year’s Resolution is to prosper in my first year of grad school. And to also stop saying ‘sorry’ so much for things that are so minimal and don’t need an apology. The third thing that comes to the top of my head is to also stop overthinking things.” – Kellee

“I will always remain optimistic about resolutions, although the only New Year’s resolution I’ve ever kept was to sing karaoke once a month. It’s how I met my fiancé. This year, after moving to LA, I’m gonna learn how to surf.” – Katie

As Editor-in-Chief, I look forward to continuing to push and lead our community forward, and support Girls & Women everywhere in standing taller and sprinkling unicorn dust everywhere we go. This is just the beginning for us with a future incredibly bright.

This year, I am going to be my best self. I believe you design your own destiny and I choose to be happy, healthy, and successful. 2017, I’m so ready for you!

What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2017? We’d love to hear them in the comments.
