I remember having a tie-dye t-shirt in high school, so that was in the 90’s. We all know the iconic tie-dye peace sign t-shirts that floated around during the 70’s, 80’s and I dare to say into the 90’s. Yet I have to confess that I was never really a fan of the distinct and colorful patterns that resulted from this dying technique. The explosion of colors on a singe piece of clothing was just a bit too much for me. Consequently with the exception of that one t-shirt in high school, I never purchased or sought out anything resembling tie-dye patterns again. Until now…
On a peaceful Saturday afternoon while casually browsing the Alloy Tall collection, I came across this piece that triggered my interest. The Harlow Tie Dye Jumpsuit.
I loved the pattern and long behold the jumpsuit came in a ‘Tall Size’. I tilted my head sideways and had to process this for a minute. I loved the look of this jumpsuit, now here is an example of tie-dye done right!
Using just the right amount of colors, a white palette with shades of black and grey makes this jumpsuit modern, chic and flattering to my tall and curvy frame.
I am wearing a size XL with a tall inseam off course. You guys know by now that I adore a good versatile piece of clothing that I can dress up or down and this is another great example!! I popped on my Victoria classic black pumps from Sensational Soles and paired it with on of my all time favorites, the Textured Leather Look Jacket from Long Tall Sally to create this chic but comfortable look.
I think Alloy Apparel is on to something here, and they definitely understand ‘Tie Dye done right’. Have a look here at the wide variety of Tie-dye pieces they offer today in many sizes both tall and plus. Dresses, t-shirts, skirts, vests, pants, bikinis and more!
This might be the perfect time to bring some Tie-dye back into your wardrobe!
