Such freaky weather, 70 degree days in December is pretty unheard of I would say; yet this is what New York experienced. Totally random ‘warm’ days and no snow to be found anywhere. A delayed Indian summer and it was lovely because I could still pull off summer/fall clothing.
I can’t remember ever really owning a great pair of boots. I mean I have owned boots before, however they were never quite perfect. Not reaching the knee as they should, too wide, too narrow, to tight around the calf, too loose around the calf I can go on. You can image my excitement when a pair of boots came along that did fit!
The LTS Nash Leather Stretch Boots from Long Tall Sally were the perfect Christmas gift. The boots have an elastic panel on the back to accommodate different calf sizes. The buckle on the side and rib stich detail on the heel make them unique.
I chose to style my new boots with some goodies from one of my other favorite tall stores, TALLGIRLS. The red flower emblem pocket skirt is made out of a soft jersey fabric. It has a great length and falls right above the knee. Thick black tights and black pumps or just boots, you will have a ton of styling options with this skirt. A cute skirt that is comfortable, check!
On the top I am wearing their staple jersey polo neck in black, a very versatile piece. Wear it on its own, or underneath a dress or weather on cold days. To complete the look I had to bring back my old faithful, the tan paneled jacket. This faux letter jacket has been a huge hit this summer and fall. The drape panels in the front makes this jacket different in the best way possible.
