An Everyday look!

I hope everyone is recovering well from their 4^th of July celebrations!!

This week I just wanted to go back to basics. Sometimes I am not necessarily inspired to put together an elaborate outfit and on those days we all have our ‘go to’ items that give you that simple, comfortable everyday look.

Since moving back to New York City I have been blessed to meet some wonderful interesting people, and they make sure I get out! So brunches, dinners, after work drinks are often on the agenda. What is more fun than trying a new restaurant and catching up with your friends right?

Having said that, living in New York City at times also comes with a certain level of unsolicited social pressures, being one of the fashion capitals of the world. Looking put together without much effort almost becomes an art, and I am certainly no artist, but I do know what I am comfortable in.

On the day these pictures were shot, I was strolling through the Manhattan Meatpacking district with my photographer, as we were winding down from a shoot. I had changed in and out of several outfits during a hot summer day and I was very much ready for a minute of peace.

Now looking back at those images, this outfit really is what I would consider effortless comfort and I wanted to share it with you!

I am wearing the Rachel Denim Jumpsuit from Alloy Apparel, in a size XXL with a 37” inseam. It was getting a bit chilly and my size 16 Textured Leather Look jacket from Long Tall Sally kept me warm.
